Reduce space between rows in tables

February 24, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

I want to adjust the space between rows in a table, and using the \vspace command with negative values creates some odd space in the columns, specially if I have images on the table.

To fix this, a simple [val] after the line break will do it, e.g.,

\begin{tabular}{cc}
a & b \\[-1in]
c & d
\end{tabular}

it will reduce the space between the rows by 1 inch, in the same way you can use pt instead of in.šŸ’”
